Arlington, Baron (E, 1664)

Ashford, Baron (E, 1696/7) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Albemarle since 1697, when 1st Earl of Albemarle was created Baron Ashford, Viscount Bury and Earl of Albemarle

Ashley, Baron (E, 1661) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Shaftesbury since 1672, when the 1st Baron Ashley was created Baron Cooper and Earl of Shaftesbury

 

Barnard, Baron (E, 1698)

Beaumont, Baron (E, by writ 1308/9) - the barony was held by the Viscounts Beaumont from 1440, when the 6th Baron Beaumont was created Viscount Beaumont, until 1507, when the Viscountcy of Beaumont became extinct on the death of the 2nd Viscount Beaumont without immediate male heirs and the Barony of Beaumont fell into abeyance;  the Barony was called out of abeyance in 1840 and has been held by the Dukes of Norfolk since 1975, when the 12th Baron Beaumont inherited the Dukedom of Norfolk

Brooke, Baron (E, 1620/1) - the barony had been held by the Earls Brooke since 1746, when the 8th Baron Brooke was created Earl Brooke, and by the Earls of Warwick since 1759, when the 1st Earl Brooke was created Earl of Warwick

Brudenell, Baron (E, 1627/8) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Cardigan since 1661, when the 1st Baron Brudenell was created Earl of Cardigan, and by the Marquesses of Ailesbury since 1868, when the 2nd Marquess of Ailesbury inherited the Earldom of Cardigan

Burgh, Baron (E, by writ 1487 or 1529)

Burghersh, Baron (E, 1624) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Westmorland since 1624, when the 1st Earl of Westmorland was created Baron Burghersh and Earl of Westmorland

Burghley, Baron (E, 1570/1) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Exeter from 1605, when the 2nd Baron Burghley was created Earl of Exeter, and by the Marquesses of Exeter since 1801, when the 10th Earl of Exeter was created Marquess of Exeter

Capell, Baron (E, 1661) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Essex since 1661, when the 2nd Baron Capell was created Viscount Malden and Earl of Essex

Cavendish of Hardwicke, Baron (E, 1605) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Devonshire since 1618, when the 1st Baron Cavendish of Hardwicke was created Earl of Devonshire, and by the Dukes of Devonshire since 1694, when the 4th Earl of Devonshire was created Duke of Devonshire

Cecil of Essendon, Baron (E, 1603) - the 1st Baron Cecil of Essendon was created Viscount Cranborne in 1604 and Earl of Salisbury in 1605; the barony has been held by the Earls of Salisbury since 1605, and by the Marquesses of Salisbury since 1789, when the 7th Earl of Salisbury was created Marquess of Salisbury

Cholmondeley, Baron (E, 1689) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Cholmondeley since 1706, when the 1st Baron Cholmondeley was created Earl of Cholmondeley, and by the Marquesses of Cholmondeley since 1815, when the 4th Earl of Cholmondeley was created Marquis of Cholmondeley

Churchill, Barony (E, 1685) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Marlborough since 1689, when the 1st Baron Churchill was created Earl of Marlborough, and by the Dukes of Marlborough since 1702, when the 1st Earl of Marlborough was created Duke of Marlborough

Cirencester, Baron (E, 1689) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Portland since 1689, when the 1st Earl of Portland was created Baron Cirencester, Viscount Woodstock and Earl of Portland [NB the Earldom of Portland was held by the former Dukes of Portland between 1715 and 1990]

Clifford of Chudleigh, Baron (E, 1672)

Clifton of Leighton Bromswold, Baron (E, by writ 1608) - the barony was held by the Dukes of Lennox from 1637 until 1649 and from 1668 until 1672, and has been held by the Earls of Darnley from 1728 until 1900 and from 1937 to the present time

Clinton, Baron (E, by writ 1298/9)

Conway, Baron (E, 1702/3) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Hertford from 1750, when the 2nd Baron Conway was created Earl of Hertford, and by the Marquesses of Hertford since 1793, when the 1st Earl of Hertford was created Marquess of Hertford

Herbert, Baron (E, by writ 1461)

Herbert of Cardiff, Baron (E, 1551) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Pembroke since 1551, when the 1st Baron Herbert of Cardiff was created Earl of Pembroke

Herbert of Shurland, Baron (E, 1605) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Montgomery since 1605, when the 1st Earl of Montgomery was created Baron Herbert of Shurland and Earl of Montgomery, and by the Earls of Pembroke since 1630, when the 1st Earl of Montgomery inherited the more senior Earldom of Pembroke

Hervey, Baron (E, 1703) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Bristol since 1714, when the 1st Baron Hervey was created Earl of Bristol, and by the Marquesses of Bristol since 1826, when the 5th Earl of Bristol was created Earl Jermyn and Marquess of Bristol

Howard de Walden, Baron (E, by writ 1597)

Howard of Charlton, Baron (E, 1621/2) - the barony has been held by the Viscounts Andover since 1622, when the 1st Viscount Andover  was created Baron Howard of Charlton and Viscount Andover, and by the Earls of Berkshire since 1626, when the 1st Viscount Andover was created Earl of Berkshire, and by the Earls of Suffolk since 1745, when the 4th Earl of Berkshire inherited the more senior Earldom of Suffolk

Howard of Effingham, Baron (E, 1553/4) - the barony was held by the Earls of Nottingham from 1597, when the 2nd Baron Howard of Effingham was created Earl of Nottingham, until 1681, when the earldom became extinct on the death of the 3rd Earl of Nottingham without male heirs and the barony passed to a cousin descended from the 1st Baron Howard of Effingham;  the barony was later held by the Earls of Effingham from 1731, when the 7th Baron Howard of Effingham was created Earl of Effingham (1st creation), until 1816, when the earldom became extinct on the death of the 4th Earl of Effingham without male heirs and the barony passed to a cousin descended from a younger brother of the 6th Baron Howard of Effingham, and has been held by the Earls of Effingham since 1837, when the 11th Baron Howard of Effingham was created Earl of Effingham (2nd creation)

Howland, Baron (E, 1695) - the barony has been held by the Dukes of Bedford since 1695, when the 1st Duke of Bedford was created Baron Howland

Hungerford, Baron (E, by writ 1425/6) - the barony was held by the Earls of Huntingdon from 1531, when the 1st Earl of Huntingdon inherited the barony from his mother, until 1789, when on the death of the 10th Earl of Huntingdon the barony passed to his sister, by the Marquesses of Hastings from 1816, when the 17th Baron Hungerford was created Viscount Loudoun, Earl of Rawdon and Marquess of Hastings, until 1868, when on the death of the 4th Marquess of Hastings the barony fell into abeyance between his four sisters, by the Earls of Loudoun from 1871, when the barony was called out of abeyance in favour of the eldest sister, Countess of Loudoun in her own right, until 1920, when on the death of the 11th Earl of Loudoun the barony fell into abeyance between his four nieces, and has been held by the Viscounts St Davids since 1974, when the 2nd Viscount St Davids inherited the barony from his mother, in whose favour the second abeyance had been terminated in 1921

Moleyns, Baron (E, by writ 1445)

Montagu of Kimbolton, Baron (E, 1620) - the barony has been held by the Viscounts Mandeville since 1620, when the 1st Viscount Mandeville was created Baron Montagu of Kimbolton and Viscount Mandeville, and has been held by the Earls of Manchester since 1625/6, when the 1st Viscount Mandeville was created Earl of Manchester, and by the Dukes of Manchester since 1719, when the 4th Earl of Manchester was created Duke of Manchester

Montagu of St Neots, Baron (E, 1660) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Sandwich since 1660, when the 1st Earl of Sandwich was created Baron Montagu of St Neots, Viscount Hinchinbroke and Earl of Sandwich

Mowbray, Baron (E, by writ 1283 or 1640)

Norris, Baron (E, by writ 1572) - the barony was held by the 1st Earl of Berkshire from 1621, when the 2nd Baron Norris was created Viscount Thame and Earl of Berkshire, until 1622, when on his death the barony passed to his only daughter and his other titles became extinct, and has been held by the Earls of Abingdon since 1682, when the 5th Baron Norris was created Earl of Abingdon, and by the Earls of Lindsey since 1938, when the 8th Earl of Abingdon inherited the more senior Earldom of Lindsey

 

Ossulston, Baron (E, 1682) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Tankerville since 1714, when the 2nd Baron Ossulston was created Earl of Tankerville

 

Paget, Baron (E, by writ 1551/2) - the barony was held by the Earls of Uxbridge (1st creation) from 1714, when the 7th Baron Paget was created Earl of Uxbridge (1st creation), until 1769, when the Earldom of Uxbridge (1st creation) became extinct, and has been held by the Earls of Uxbridge (2nd creation) since 1784, when the 9th Baron Paget was created Earl of Uxbridge (2nd creation), and by the Marquesses of Anglesey since 1815, when the 2nd Earl of Uxbridge was created Marquess of Anglesey

Petre, Baron (E, 1603)

 

Russell, Baron (E, 1539/40) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Bedford since 1549/50, when the 1st Baron Russell was created Earl of Bedford, and by the Dukes of Bedford since 1694, when the 5th Earl of Bedford was created Duke of Bedford

Russell of Thornhaugh, Baron (E, 1603) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Bedford since 1627, when the 2nd Baron Russell of Thornhaugh succeeded his cousin as 4th Earl of Bedford, and by the Dukes of Bedford since 1694, when the 5th Earl of Bedford was created Duke of Bedford

 

St John of Basing, Baron (E, 1538/39) - the barony was held by the 1st Earl of Wiltshire from 1549/50, when the 1st Baron St John of Basing was created Earl of Wiltshire, and has been held by the Marquesses of Winchester since 1551, when the 1st Earl of Wiltshire was created Marquess of Winchester [Note:  the Marquessate of Winchester was held by the former Dukes of Bolton between 1689 and 1794]

St John of Bletso, Baron (E, 1558/9)

St Liz, Baron (E, 1663/4) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Denbigh since 1663/4, when the 2nd Earl of Denbigh was created Baron St Liz

Saye and Sele, Baron (E, 1603)

Scott of Tyndale, Baron (E, 1662/3) - the barony was held by the 1st Duke of Monmouth from 1662/3, when he was created Baron Scott of Tyndale, Earl of Doncaster and Duke of Monmouth;  he was executed and attainted in 1685;  the barony has been held by the Dukes of Buccleuch since 1743, when his grandson, the 2nd Duke of Buccleuch, was restored to the barony by Act of Parliament

Segrave, Baron (E, by writ 1295) - the barony has been held by the Barons Mowbray from 1375, when the 5th Baron Mowbray inherited the barony from his mother, until 1777, when both baronies fell into abeyance until determined in favour of the 20th Baron Stourton in 1878

Settrington, Baron (E, 1675) - the barony has been held by the Dukes of Richmond since 1675, when the 1st Duke of Richmond was created Baron Settrington, Earl of March and Duke of Richmond

Seymour, Baron (E, 1546/7) - the barony has been held by the Dukes of Somerset since 1546/7, when the 1st Duke of Somerset was created Baron Seymour and Duke of Somerset

Spencer, Baron (E, 1603) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Sunderland since 1643, when the 3rd Baron Spencer was created Earl of Sunderland, and by the Dukes of Marlborough since 1733, when the 5th Earl of Sunderland inherited the Dukedom of Marlborough

Stafford, Baron (E, 1640)

Stourton, Baron (E, by writ 1448) - the barony has been held by the Barons Mowbray since 1878, when the 20th Baron Stourton had the abeyance of the more senior Baronies of Mowbray and Segrave determined in his favour

Strabolgi, Baron (E, by writ 1318)

Strange, Baron (E, by writ 1627/8)

Strange of Knokyn, Baron (E, by writ 1299)

Sudbury, Baron (E, 1672) - the barony has been held by the Earls of Euston since 1672, when the 1st Earl of Euston was created Baron Sudbury, Viscount Ipswich and Earl of Euston, and has been held by the Dukes of Grafton since 1675, when the 1st Earl of Euston was created Duke of Grafton

 

Teynham, Baron (E, 1616)

Thynne, Baron (E, 1682) - the barony has been held by the Viscounts Weymouth from 1682, when the 1st Viscount Weymouth was created Baron Thynne and Viscount Weymouth, and by the Marquesses of Bath since 1789, when the 3rd Viscount Weymouth was created Marquess of Bath

Townshend, Baron (E, 1661) - the barony has been held by the Viscounts Townshend since 1682, when the 1st Baron Townshend was created Viscount Townshend, and by the Marquesses Townshend since 1787, when the 4th Viscount Townshend was created Marquess Townshend

 

Vaux of Harrowden, Baron (E, by writ 1523)

Villiers of Hoo, Baron (E, 1690/1) - the barony has been held by the Viscount Villiers since 1690/1, when the 1st Viscount Villiers was created Baron Villiers of Hoo and Viscount Villiers, and by the Earls of Jersey since 1697, when the 1st Viscount Villiers was created Earl of Jersey

 

Waldegrave, Baron (E, 1685/6) - the barony has been held by the Earls Waldegrave since 1729, when the 2nd Baron Waldegrave was created Viscount Chewton and Earl Waldegrave

Ward, Baron (E, 1643/4) - the barony was held by the Barons Dudley between 1697, when the 2nd Baron Ward inherited the more senior Barony of Dudley, and 1740, when the Barony of Dudley passed to the heir general and the Barony of Ward passed to the heir male of the body of the grantee, by the Viscounts Dudley and Ward between 1763, when the 6th Baron Ward was created Viscount Dudley and Ward (Earls of Dudley from 1827), and 1833, when the Earldom of Dudley (1st creation) and Viscountcy of Dudley and Ward became extinct on the death of the 1st Earl of Dudley without a male heir and the Barony of Ward passed to the heir male of the body of the grantee, and by the Earls of Dudley (2nd creation) since 1860, when the 11th Baron Ward was created Viscount Ednam and Earl of Dudley
