On the death of the 1st Earl of Ross the Barony of Gore, the Viscountcy of Bellisle and the Earldom of Ross all became extinct. The Baronetcy (styled "of Magharabeg, co. Donegal" and cr. 2 Feb 1621/2) passed to his nephew, Ralph Gore.
