The Lordship of Mackenzie of Kintail was held by the Earls of Seaforth from 3 Dec 1623 until 7 May 1716, when on the attainder for high treason of William [Mackenzie], 5th Earl of Seaforth and 6th Lord Mackenzie of Kintail, both his titles were forfeited to the Crown.
