The QUEEN has been graciously pleased by Warrant under Her Royal Signet and Sign Manual to ordain and declare that Ashley George Ponsonby, brother of Rupert Charles, Baron de Mauley, shall henceforth have, hold and enjoy the same title, rank, place, pre-eminence and precedence as the son of a Baron which would have been due to him had his father, Thomas Maurice Ponsonby (commonly called The Honourable Thomas Maurice Ponsonby), survived his brother, Gerald John, Baron de Mauley, and thereby succeeded to the title and dignity of Baron de Mauley. And to signify Her Royal Will and Pleasure that the said Royal Declaration be recorded in Her Majesty's College of Arms.
