1 Nov 2002 - warrant to use name and arms of Herbert to 18th Baron Herbert

The QUEEN has been graciously pleased by Warrant under Her Royal Signet and Sign Manual to give and grant Her Majesty's Royal Licence and Authority that David John, Baron Herbert, together with his wife Jane Angela, Baroness Herbert, and their children, namely Oliver Richard Seyfried commonly called the Honourable Oliver Richard Seyfried and Charlotte Sophie Charlotte Seyfried, commonly called the Honourable Charlotte Sophia Caroline Seyfried, may take and henceforth use the surname of Herbert, in addition to and after that of Seyfried and also that the Arms, Crest and Badge of Herbert may be borne and used by him, the said David John, Baron Herbert, and his descendants with due and proper differences, together with such Supporters as may be deemed suitable to be borne and used by him and by those to whom the Barony of Herbert may hereafter descend;  the said Armorial Ensigns being first duly exemplified according to the Laws of Arms and recorded in Her Majesty's College of Arms:  otherwise the said Royal Licence and Permission to be void and of none effect.

 

And to signify Her Royal Will and Pleasure that the said Royal Concession and Declaration be recorded in Her Majesty's College of Arms.
